Today, viewing my mobile gallery, I have found these photos that have made me go back months ago and remember a very special day I lived in Posada Guadalupe.
By early April, we had a endearing visit, of those that happen from time to time, that give us joy and with which we experience a tingle of emotion in unison that Sole and Javier, customers who feel at home and share it.
I really want to tell the situation because these pleasant moments that I used to keep for myself, I have learned to count them.
Let's get to the point, I was in my office, engaged in management tasks. Ring the doorbell from reception, I went out and found myself in front of a very familiar face, He stretched out his hand and threw a:
- Do you know me?
- Man of course if, of course, How is everything going??
- Not bad, very well we are in the bar with my wife, we have stopped to have a snack, that since we have retired we have hardly come anymore…
I remember going down with him to greet the lady, another tremendously familiar face to whom I do not put a name, (I would like to remember the names of my clients but I am incapable) por lo tanto pregunté y eran Sole and Javier que me dieron, a detailed explanation of who they are and why they went through so much and always stopped.
She is Soledad Beltrán, high school teacher and writer, author of the Lady of Silk and Red Lilies Black Lilies among other novels, I have a copy of the first one dedicated and I didn't remember! so long ago!!.
Then Sole explained to me that has been stopping at the Bar de la Posada since the end of the 60, when she began to study first of teaching career in Zaragoza and explained to us excited the memories and the affection she has for this house:
Travelling by bus from Albocacer to Sant Mateu, from there to Morella, Monroyo and Alcañiz where another transfer was made to reach Zaragoza, lots of hours of travel, the first at dawn crossing Querol and Torremiró, on a small bus without heating, under a blanket and shivering in the cold. Sole remembers that the feeling when entering the bar was so warm., with the stove, the hot coffee and the ham sandwich that the stop in Monroyo was burned into his memory. So much so that fate led her to work in the Basque Country where she married Javier and where they resided throughout their working life.. In all these years they did not stop every time they passed through Monroyo on the way back and forth.
Now retired do not travel so assiduously, but if they do the stop and the visit is a must.
For me, it was a pleasure to know its beautiful history and the reason for its stops. We imagine what will be the one of so many and so many traveling families of Zaragoza, La Rioja, Navarre and the Basque Country that give us their stop on each of their trips, surely many of them will be able to tell us stories as beautiful as Sole's.
To all of them a thousand Thanks:
The Posada Guadalupe team.
